To receive the Chairman’s report: Susan Spiller, Chairman, delivered her annual report to the meeting. Her main points were regarding major, local planning issues;

  • Crossrail 2; guest speakers presented at the AGM
  • The Royal Brompton Hospital and redevelopment of other separate properties
  • The Cadogan Estate’s proposal to redevelop the Habitat, Curzon site
  • The Sutton Estate
  • National Grid works on the New Kings Road

Guest Speakers from Cross Rail 2 Project: Planning and Construction representatives, (Jenn Bryden and her colleagues), attended the meeting to provide an overview of the project and the consultation process. There was a response from the No Crossrail in Chelsea campaign (Gillespie Robertson) who presented an opposing view on the diversion of the line via Chelsea. The diversion of the Crossrail line, to provide a station in Sydney Street, Chelsea, was also the centre of members’ attention; the merging of Crossrail 2 with the RBH development, the long term disruption to businesses and residents and the movement of spoil. Consultations by Crossrail will continue.

The AGM was formally brought to a close by the Chairman and she thanked our guest speakers.
