The AGM was called to order by the President, The Reverend Prebendary Dr Brian Leathard, at 1830

SSDRA members and the Committee earlier had the opportunity to personally welcome our guest speaker, Terence Bendixson, Hon Secretary for Planning, The Chelsea Society.

Three of our local councillors, Cllr Louis Mosley, Cllr Paul Warwick, and Cllr.Will Pascall also attended the meeting.

Minutes of 2010 AGM: The Chairman asked for the minutes of the 2010 AGM to be agreed. The motion was proposed, seconded and approved.

To confirm the Accounts for 2010/2011 and receive the Treasurer’s Report: Daisy Alexander, Treasurer, presented the Treasurer’s Report and Accounts for the fiscal year ending 30 June 2011 and thanked Heather Gumbrell for auditing them. The accounts were approved. The Treasurer confirmed the state of the accounts as positive.

To reappoint the Management Committee of the SSDRA for the forthcoming year: The Management Committee members were proposed for re-election, seconded and re-elected. The members are as follows; Susan Spiller, Daisy Alexander, Richard Alexander, Kim Taylor-Smith, Katherine Lumsden, Richard Bond and Steven Maidwell.

To receive the Chairman’s report: Susan Spiller, Chairman, delivered her annual report to the meeting. Her main points were from “Planning Matters” outlined in the annual newsletter distributed to members in October 2011. It was confirmed that the SSDRA is a member of KRACR and that the Association will contribute when necessary but that the Association has no active role.

Guest Speaker, Terence Bendixson, Hon Secretary for Planning, The Chelsea Society: Terence Bendixson gave an overview of the cultural activities and the Planning interests of the Chelsea Society. Both he and the Council support the Vanguard Scheme that has been set up to look at disruption, noise and nuisance caused by the current wave of basement excavations to houses in K & C; (an issue referred to in SSDRA AGM minutes of 2010).

The AGM was formally brought to a close by the President and he thanked the guest speaker and the committee.
